Claro and Entel Peru lead in Andean and rural coverage. Lima's Miraflores, San Isidro, and historic centre have fast 4G; 5G is in limited rollout. Cusco city has solid 4G across the Plaza de Armas and surrounding neighbourhoods. The Sacred Valley from Pisac to Ollantaytambo is covered on 4G along the main road. Aguas Calientes (the gateway town to Machu Picchu) has 4G; the Machu Picchu citadel itself has patchy 4G near the entrance and main overlooks, dropping to 3G or no signal inside ruins. The Inca Trail beyond Km 82 is largely offline. Amazon gateway cities (Puerto Maldonado, Iquitos) have 4G in town; the jungle interior is offline. Lake Titicaca ferry routes between Puno and the islands have 3G.

Does this eSIM work at Machu Picchu?
Yes, in Aguas Calientes town and at the citadel entrance. Inside the ruins themselves signal is patchy (3G or no signal). Download offline maps and photos before the hike.
Is there coverage on the Inca Trail?
Signal is available at the trail start (Km 82) and diminishes quickly. Most of the 4-day Inca Trail is without mobile coverage. Plan accordingly.
What is the coverage like in Cusco?
Cusco city has reliable 4G across the Plaza de Armas, San Blas neighbourhood, and the airport. The Sacred Valley main road is covered on 4G.
Can I use this eSIM in the Amazon?
Gateway towns like Puerto Maldonado have 4G. Once you enter the jungle by boat, coverage disappears quickly. Satellite communication devices are recommended for deep-jungle travel.
Does the eSIM work immediately on arrival at Lima airport?
Yes. Jorge Chávez International Airport has 4G/LTE across all terminals. Activate your eSIM before departure and it will connect automatically on landing in Lima.

After purchase, we email a QR code. On iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Scan QR Code. On Android: Settings → Network & Internet → SIMs → Add eSIM. The whole process takes under 60 seconds.
Can I keep my regular SIM while using this eSIM?
Yes. Most phones support dual SIM (physical + eSIM). Keep your home number for calls and SMS — use Flysimio for data abroad. You control which SIM handles what in your phone Settings.
Does the eSIM include a hotspot (tethering)?

What happens when my data runs out?
You can top up data from your account dashboard at any time. Top-ups are applied instantly — no need to buy a new eSIM or wait.
Can I get a refund?

How long is the eSIM valid for?
You have 6 months from your purchase date to activate the eSIM. Once activated, the plan validity period (e.g., 7 days, 30 days) begins counting down.
Will the eSIM work at the airport when I land?
Yes — as long as you installed the eSIM before your flight, it activates automatically when your phone connects to a local network on landing. No Wi-Fi required for activation.
What if the QR code doesn't scan?
If the QR code won't scan, you can enter the activation code manually — we include both in the email. You can also contact our 24/7 support team and we'll resend or manually provision your eSIM.
