Orange Moldova and Moldtelecom provide 4G/LTE to all major population centres. Chișinău city centre (Stefan cel Mare Boulevard, Central Market) has solid 4G. Cricova underground wine city and Mileștii Mici (the world's largest wine cellar by bottle count) have 4G at their visitor entrance facilities. Orheiul Vechi cave monastery and the hillside village have 4G. The M2 and M1 highways to the Romanian border have 4G. Note: Transnistria (the eastern breakaway region) operates on a separate Russian-backed network and is outside Moldovan carrier coverage. 5G is in limited early rollout in Chișinău.

Can I visit the Cricova or Mileștii Mici wine caves?
Yes. Both require advance booking for tours. Cricova and Mileștii Mici are 4G-covered at entrance facilities. The underground galleries themselves may have limited signal inside.
Does this eSIM work in Transnistria?
Transnistria operates independently with Russian-backed networks. Coverage from Moldovan carriers (including your eSIM) may not extend there. Crossing into Transnistria also raises entry and exit complications — check your government's advisory.
What currency does Moldova use?
Moldovan leu (MDL). Euros and USD are not widely accepted outside hotels. Use ATMs in Chișinău for local currency. Card payments are becoming more common in the capital.
Is Moldova in the EU?
Moldova is an EU candidate country (candidate status granted June 2022). It is not yet an EU member and does not use the Euro. EU citizens can enter visa-free.

What happens when my data runs out?
You can top up data from your account dashboard at any time. Top-ups are applied instantly — no need to buy a new eSIM or wait.
Can I get a refund?

How long is the eSIM valid for?
You have 6 months from your purchase date to activate the eSIM. Once activated, the plan validity period (e.g., 7 days, 30 days) begins counting down.
Will the eSIM work at the airport when I land?
Yes — as long as you installed the eSIM before your flight, it activates automatically when your phone connects to a local network on landing. No Wi-Fi required for activation.
What if the QR code doesn't scan?
If the QR code won't scan, you can enter the activation code manually — we include both in the email. You can also contact our 24/7 support team and we'll resend or manually provision your eSIM.
