Cyta (Cyprus Telecommunications Authority) and MTN provide 4G/LTE and 5G across the Republic of Cyprus. Nicosia — the world's last divided capital — has 5G on the southern (Republic) side; the northern side operates on Turkish networks. Limassol seafront and old town have 5G. Paphos Archaeological Park (UNESCO) and the Paphos harbour have excellent 4G/5G. Ayia Napa and Protaras beach areas have 5G during the tourist season. The Troodos Mountains (Mount Olympus, Kakopetria) have 4G at all ski resort and hiking areas. Akamas Peninsula (sea turtle nesting beaches) has 4G on the access road; the beach itself may be 3G.

Does this eSIM cover Northern Cyprus?
No. This eSIM covers the Republic of Cyprus (southern part) only. Northern Cyprus is administered by Turkish authorities and uses Turkish carrier networks. You would need a separate Turkey eSIM for the northern part.
Is there 5G in Limassol and Paphos?
Yes. Limassol's seafront and Paphos harbour both have 5G. Larnaca and Ayia Napa also have 5G in main tourist areas.
Does the eSIM work in the Troodos Mountains?
Yes. Platres, Kakopetria, and Mount Olympus ski area have 4G. The Cyprus ski season is short (January–March) but the mountain is 4G-covered year-round.
Can I use this eSIM at the Paphos Archaeological Park?
Yes. The Paphos mosaics (House of Dionysus, House of Theseus) and the entire UNESCO archaeological park have solid 4G.
What plug type does Cyprus use?

How long is the eSIM valid for?
You have 6 months from your purchase date to activate the eSIM. Once activated, the plan validity period (e.g., 7 days, 30 days) begins counting down.
Will the eSIM work at the airport when I land?
Yes — as long as you installed the eSIM before your flight, it activates automatically when your phone connects to a local network on landing. No Wi-Fi required for activation.
What if the QR code doesn't scan?
If the QR code won't scan, you can enter the activation code manually — we include both in the email. You can also contact our 24/7 support team and we'll resend or manually provision your eSIM.
