Tcell and Megafon Tajikistan provide 4G/LTE in Dushanbe and regional capitals. Dushanbe city centre (Rudaki Avenue, National Museum) has 4G. Khujand (the historic northern city on the Silk Road) has 4G. The Pamir Highway (M41) from Dushanbe to Khorog: main towns (Kulob, Qalai Khumb, Rushan) have 3G/4G; high-altitude passes (Khargush Pass 4,344 m, Wakhan Corridor) are largely without coverage. Iskanderkul lake has 3G in the valley. Varzob Gorge (recreation area near Dushanbe) has 4G. The Wakhan Valley (border with Afghanistan) has very limited or no coverage. A satellite communicator is essential for Pamir Highway expeditions.

Is there coverage in Dushanbe?

Is Tajikistan visa-free for Western tourists?
Some nationalities can enter Tajikistan visa-free or get e-Visa on arrival. The Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Oblast (GBAO) — where the Pamir Highway runs — requires a separate GBAO permit. Check requirements for your nationality.
What currency does Tajikistan use?
Tajikistani somoni (TJS). USD is accepted in Dushanbe hotels. Carry plenty of cash for the Pamir Highway — no ATMs exist in the high Pamirs.
Is the Pamir Highway (M41) safe to drive?
The Pamir Highway is a challenging but increasingly popular adventure route. Road conditions are rough, fuel is scarce, and altitude sickness is a real risk above 4,000 m. Join an organised tour or hire an experienced local driver. Check current border conditions.

You have 6 months from your purchase date to activate the eSIM. Once activated, the plan validity period (e.g., 7 days, 30 days) begins counting down.

What if the QR code doesn't scan?
